Oasi project

An experimental painting project for a public space, based on understanding and interpretation and the process of art making by children. The students produce upon instruction that do not allow them to use what they know of representation, drawing etc. The paintings are produced upon gestures and the interpretation helps the children develop a critic form of thinking that is not judgmental but rather curious of discovering what is hidden in the shapes, blots and colors. 

Workshops to develop the projects were made essentially with my children Odysseas and Elias who patiently produced hundreds of paintings and worked hours with me. 

I also worked with the classes of Maria Kasmirli and Christianna Kartselou at the School of European Education in Heraklio.
